The Air Itam Dam is a picturesque place for a gentle stroll, a jog or a hike. Surrounded by verdant hills and on a clear day, a bright blue sky, the dam is a popular place during the weekends. Visitors are treated to a breathtaking panorama of George Town from the 800-feet crest of the dam.

There are different hiking trails that differ in duration to suit your capacity. The shortest trail clocks in at one hour and the longest one can be completed within four hours. Going on a hike can be an alternative way to experiencing the Penang landscape.
