The Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT), located along the waterfront in George Town, serves as Penang's primary cruise gateway. Situated within the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site, the terminal provides convenient access to heritage attractions, museums, places of worship, street art, cafés and local food experiences, many of which can be explored on foot from the port.
As one of Malaysia's leading cruise ports, SPCT continues to welcome some of the world's most recognisable cruise vessels. Recent arrivals have included Queen Anne, Norwegian Sun, Azamara Pursuit, MS Blue Dream Melody, AIDAStella and Norwegian Sky. In 2024, SPCT handled more than one million passenger movements, including 650,518 international transit passengers, reflecting Penang's growing appeal within the regional cruise industry.
