The Penang National Park is one of the world’s smallest forest reserves and is also home to the only meromictic lake in Malaysia. It is estimated that over 150 bird species alone have made their home in the Penang National Park. Entrance is free at the moment and there are plenty of interesting jungle trails of varying challenges and pristine sandy beaches. Boats can also be hired for day trips, BBQs and tours around the mangrove swamps.
