Sun Yat Sen Museum Penang

Sun Yat Sen Museum Penang offers a unique glimpse into a traditional Penang Peranakan heritage house. The unusually long townhouse, featuring a historic interior with an intimate courtyard garden, is a showcase of tropical architecture of the George Town World Heritage Site. The museum looks out on the lush, green pocket park on the quiet end of the famous Lebuh Armenian, the most popular tourist street in George Town.

The museum hosts a permanent exhibition on Dr Sun Yat Sen as a young revolutionary in exile. He organised the Second Guangzhou Uprising from this spot in 1910 before becoming the first president of modern China. Visitors can partake of guided tours in Mandarin and English.
