M. Thana's Goldsmith is the last remaining traditional Indian goldsmith in George Town which retails only hand-made jewellery. The shop was established in 1923 by Mr Nagumani one of the city's most respected craftsman. When he passed away, his niece Thanalaxmi Veerappan took up the reins with her goldsmith husband, Raju.
