Malaysia awarded "Asia's Best Gold Destination Award"

Malaysia was awarded "Asia's Best Gold Destination Award" at the World Golf Awards held in Portugal on Nov 15, reports New Straits Times. The new The Els Club Teluk Datai, within the 10 million old rainforests of Langkawi, was awarded the Best New Golf Course in Asia and Best New Golf Course in the World awards. Started from 20 June to 2 Oct, the votes for this worldwide voting process were by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry, media professionals from 130 countries, as well as golf tourism consumers. The Malaysia Golf Tourism Association (MGTA), who plays a key role in promoting and marketing Malaysia as a golfing destination to international tourists, was thrilled and proud with these achievements.
